I'm a Libertarian Deist (though I have been accused of being an Ignostic, and if you know the difference between an ignostic and an agnostic, you are probably one, too) who tries to combine the hobbies of my youth (role-playing games, Star Trek, classic rock, passionate debate, and mystery fiction) with the more well-aged tastes of my middle-30s (historical fiction, gourmet cooking, travel, politics, and creative writing) to hold down a responsible day job during the week and still love and respect myself on the weekends.

(This is achieved by taking some lemon drops, buying a bottle of whiskey opening up the whiskey, putting the lemon drops - or lemon heads come to think of it - and put them in then let them dissolve into the whiskey.)

I don't actually like drinking, it just makes me feel like an alchemical genius to make different flavors of alcohol by mixing in jolly ranchers, and other hard candies.

I've spent a lot of time thinking about a lot of topics, and I want to use my wide exposure to help bring things together in ways that benefit people. I want to help plan a future that will correct the problems of today's world rather than let them run their course. I believe we as a species and as a globe spanning society need a real and concrete plan to move forward, and that our current system of complacency and exploitation is barbaric and degrading. I have no idea how I can go about starting a movement vast and coherent enough to get any of this done.....

Personally I think I'm bland to hang around (besides my sense of humor) because I don't have much in-depth perspective on anything, I can't seem to get into conversations deep in a single subject matter because I tend to jump around and learn the basics of everything rather than stop and perfect anything. I really wish I could have learned a musical instrument (I do sing, but not spectacularly) or another language, and I still haven't put the idea of doing either completely away, but right now I'm still cruising around things that catch my fancy. I'm trying to read as much as possible and get in shape right now, because I believe being well-read and fit are two things that should improve my general quality of life. I'm very withdrawn around new people (having no hobby to relate with doesn't help...) and for moral and practical reasons I rarely drink or party with people I don't know well. This is a tough one because there are many things that... well... summarize me. In fact there are so many things that have to do with me that I cant even remember them all. Some of you are probably thinking "oh how sad to forget ones self", but really its not that bad because I am constantly discovering new things about myself and that in its self is a very lovely surprise.
